Titan Grade 7 (3.7235)

Werkstoff Nr.:

3.7235

EN/DIN Bezeichnung

Titan Grade 7

UNS

R52400

Int. Normen

Ti-Grade 7 ASTM B348/B381 Unalloyed Titanium - 0,12% to 0,25% Pd, Standard Oxygen

Alloyed titanium alloy with portions of palladium.
Better corrosion resistance to reducing solutions than pure titanium.
Especially in chloride-containing media there is less risk of crevice corrosion than with pure titanium.

The low-alloy titanium materials were mainly developed for use in the chemical industry. They have the same advantageous properties as pure titanium materials, with improved corrosion resistance at the same time. This is achieved by adding small amounts of Pd and Ni + Mo, which increases the resistance to reducing solutions and reduces the risk of crevice corrosion, especially in chloride-containing media.

Applications

  • Chemical plants, especially for highly aggressive and chloride-containing media
